Art Goût Beauté, 1925 — Evening Elegance in a Grand Palace | Color Your Own Canvas Print

R$130.35

This canvas is based on an illustration from Art Goût Beauté — a French fashion magazine published in Paris throughout the 1920s that sat at the intersection of fine art and haute couture. Each issue was as much an art object as a publication, featuring pochoir prints (a refined hand-stencilled technique) of extraordinary elegance. The women in its pages wore Poiret, Chanel, and Patou — and were illustrated with the flat, graceful lines that defined Art Deco at its most refined.

This particular plate is pure Jazz Age fantasy — figures in lavish evening gowns beneath chandeliers, framed by grand columns, in the kind of palatial setting that existed as much in imagination as in reality. Art Goût Beauté at its most opulent.

I outlined the figures and the architectural setting by hand on a drawing tablet, following the decorative detail of the gowns and the grandeur of the interior with care. Chandeliers, columns, and couture — all waiting for your colors.

No art background needed. Just curiosity and a set of pencils, paints, or acrylic markers.
